Event Description

What is a 'dig' in Egyptology/archaeology terms?
It's a lot of hard work and not always a lot of return, BUT to those like Karen Thomas involved in a dig, it's unbelievably rewarding. They aren't digging for 'treasure' of the shiny kind (though that would be nice) but for any artifacts that tell us about the daily life of the wealthy and poorer inhabitants of the area.
Join Karen as she talks about what actually happens at a dig, find out about the tools & equipment that are used, the sorts of things that are found and what happens to them.
