Event Description

Tony Birch is a renowned Melbourne-based Indigenous author, academic and activist.
He is the first Indigenous writer to win the Patrick White Award, and his books have been shortlisted for many prizes.
Tony returns to Belgrave Library to talk about his own remarkable life and his latest novel. The White Girl is a story of bureaucratic cruelty inflicted on families of the Stolen Generations, and its inter-generational legacy of both resilience and violence.
His books will be available for sale and signing.
