Event Description

Chooks not only make great pets, but are great composters too, and give us delicious eggs as a bonus! Come along to this workshop by Ella and learn how to create a healthy, happy chooktopia of your own. Ella will cover: chook health, nutrition, housing, protection from predators and pests, as well as the sustainability and circular economy benefits of keeping these delightful animals. Ella will also talk about Council and local law considerations and guidelines to help you plan out a productive chook yard.
