Become A Volunteer Tutor

Event Description

Would you like to become a volunteer tutor and help new arrivals learn English? When people arrive in Australia they are offered free English lessons by the Adult Migrant English Program. When they register with AMEP they are also offered a free volunteer tutor for one hour a week. The tutor helps with learning English but also supports the new migrant in any way they need. There are over 600 volunteer tutors already working across Melbourne, but because of recent arrivals from Afghanistan, Myanmar and other countries, there is an urgent need to find more tutors.

Support new migrants and refugees
no experience necessary
FREE training provided
Only one to two hours per week
all tutoring currently online or in public place
