Meet The Author: Chris Hammer In Conversation

Join author Chris Hammer to hear about his latest book 'The Tilt', a gripping thriller featuring newly-minted homicide detective Nell Buchanan. Nell reluctantly returns to her home town to investigate an uncovered body. But this is no ordinary cold case, as the discovery of more bodies triggers a chain of escalating events in the present day.

Chris Hammer was a journalist for more than thirty years. As a correspondent, his career covered both Australian federal politics and international affairs.

Chris published his first novel 'Scrublands' in 2018. It won the UK Crime Writers' Association John Creasey Debut Dagger Award.

This was followed by the international bestsellers 'Silver' published in 2019, 'Trust', in 2020 and 'Treasure and Dirt' in 2021.

Chris has been longlisted, shortlisted and the winner of many awards and prizes and he will be sharing his thoughts on writing Australian crime in conversation with our own Sue Pitt.
