'Words Aloud' Poetry And Spoken Word Session - Featuring Cameron Semmens

Calling all wordsmiths, poets, spoken word artists, short story, letter, speech and song lyric writers!
Share your words, stories and art with others in the intimate, cosy setting of The Parlour at Miller's Homestead.
These sessions are a place for you to connect and be inspired by other wordsmiths and have a chance to perform your works to a respectful and inclusive audience.

Not a writer but would love to hear the writing of others? Please join us, as an audience member.

Each session will begin with a guest performer and will be followed by an open mic session.

This month's special guest is Cameron Semmens.

Cameron is an award-winning poet and author, a force of dadness to 3 kids, and a hope-oriented wonder-monger living in Melbourne. He's a passionate poetry educator, running workshops for students and adults across Australia. He has published 27 books – his latest release is '10 Poems I Like ...Maybe You'll Like 'Em Too!', and he's released 5 spoken word albums, has had many individual poems published in magazines and journals, and currently hosts 2 podcasts: 'Shards' and 'The Persian and The Poet'. Notes & Requirements

Accessible parking can be arranged by calling 0438 284 989 prior to the event. Please park in designated bays on Dorrigo Drive or Melrose Court. If bays are full, please use available spaces on Dorrigo Drive, ensuring that you park away from intersections and residents' driveways. Miller's Homestead is in a quiet, residential area so we ask that you please be courteous to our lovely neighbours.
