Event Description

While many people are familiar with the names of some of the pharaohs of Ancient Egypt such as Tutankhamun, Rameses the Great etc., most don't know about the strong women behind the throne. Some were Queens, the Great Royal wives of the Pharaohs, yet there were some who ended up ruling when their husbands died and the immediate successor was not ready to take the throne at the time. This presentation will introduce you to some of these women, some you will never have heard of, while others have been the subject of many books and Hollywood movies.
