Event Concluded

Event Description

Many Australian Indigenous plants can be used as foods - sometimes known at Bush Foods or Bush Tucker plants - as healing medicines, and other traditional uses. Jill, a long-time member of the Herb Society of Victoria, and a passionate herb grower, will present samples of many of these useful plants, including tea & coffee plants, an Elder tree, and a "toothache" plant.

Questions: What variety of Wattle have edible seeds? What is the "native" equivalent of our "backyard lemon tree"? Jill will answer these questions, and more. Come along and hear this engaging & knowledgeable speaker, and learn more of what our countryside has to offer us.
