Event Description

Divesh Sareen was born in India and migrated to Australia at the young age of 21. His family background was one of extreme hardship and financial difficulties. He moved to Australia with $1000 and a bag full of dreams.

As author of 'The Indian Mate', Divesh will be sharing his journey from Namaste to How-R-Ya, a journey which he believes is shared by others like him.

The story covers what it’s like to leave behind everything one has ever known with a hope to create a better future, what it’s like to be part of two different countries but not fully belong to either, and how living in two different countries forges a new identity for a person.

Copies of 'The Indian Mate' will be available for purchase (cash or card accepted) at the event.
