Event Description

The Anne Frank travelling exhibition has been touring Australia since 2013.
It contains eight historical modules. The first part focuses on the story of Anne Frank and her family. Large pictures are used to give an impression of her life, from her birth in Frankfurt in 1929 to her death in Bergen-Belsen in 1945. Her personal story is complemented by photographs and texts about the time in which she lived: the rise of national socialism, the persecution of the Jews, and the Second World War. The second part of the exhibition centres around contemporary subjects. Seven modules contemporize the story of Anne Frank, showing how the struggle against persecution and discrimination is still relevant in today’s society and how young people in Australia are still experiencing bullying.
The Anne Frank exhibition will be on display at the Belgrave Library from the 4th of March to the 18th of April 2024
