Event Description

This talk will shine a light on the many women in the shadows of the great male artists of the Australian Impressionist movement. It was Queen Victoria and her love of art & culture that inspired many women to explore their creative abilities. Art classes were one of the few acceptable vocations that allowed women to learn side by side with their male peers. Come and learn more about the many women who paved the way for today's women artists and their contribution to Australian Art.
