Event Description

Raising plants from seed is cheaper than buying seedlings. However it is not always easy to grow plants from seed, or from a punnet of seedlings.
Forgetting to water can be tragic, and snails can happily munch through every newly planted seedling in one night.
Here we look at strategies for successful propagation while also giving a second life to "waste" materials.
The Backyard Vegetable aims to encourage home food-growing with a consultation service, trouble-shooting, and on-going mentoring.
