Event Description

Tom Petsinis has published nine books of poetry, including Four Quarters, which won the Wesley Michel Wright Poetry Prize, and most recently Steles and isolation. His play The Drought was short-listed for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award. Of his fiction The French Mathematician was nominated for both the New South Wales and South Australian Premier’s Award. His most recent novels are Fitzroy Raw and its sequel Fog.

Tom’s new book of poetry, Zero’s Whisper, furthers his literary work drawing on the rich domain of mathematics with the aim of humanising the subject.

His work has been translated into a number of languages. He is currently a mathematics adviser at Deakin University.

Copies of Zero’s Whisper will be available for sale on the night, card or cash accepted.
