Have you ever struggled to know what to say to someone who is grieving? Perhaps you yourself have been the recipient of some inappropriate things being said to you in your grieving. Do you want to know what it feels like when grief totally engulfs you? Perhaps you already know that and find it hard to search for any glimmer of hope.
Christine Pedley wrote a book after her son took his own life in 2022, called ‘Facing the Unfathomable. Surviving your son’s suicide.’ It includes the harrowing narrative of Christine’s experience, but it is so much more than that. It is a story of love. The more we love someone, the deeper our grief. Christine has worked as a grief professional and thought she understood the ‘mechanics’ of grief. And after her son died, she felt she knew nothing of grief and had to start right from the beginning.
Come along and listen to Christine speak about her book and of her experiences and moments that offer her glimmers of hope.
