Event Description

Preserving refers to methods used to extend the shelf life of food by preventing spoilage, decay, or the growth of harmful bacteria. For fruits and vegetables, preserving helps retain their flavour, texture, and nutritional value over time. Common methods of preserving include freezing, drying, pickling, and fermenting.

Come along to Croydon Library, where Claire will talk about and demonstrate some common preserving methods for fruits and vegetables.
