Belgrave Botanicals presents "Backyard Insects: Aphids & other friends & foes in our gardens" a closer look at some aspects of natural pest control in the garden. Speaker: Maxwell Campbell, Biologist and Naturalist for 5 decades, and current President of the Field Naturalist Club of Victoria (FNCV Inc.)

Maxwell will illustrate his talk with fascinating photographs and micro videos, many-times magnified, of common & not so common insects, revealing the amazing “mini-beasts” that inhabit our gardens. The Field Naturalists Club of Victoria Inc. (FNCV) is Australia’s oldest natural history group, established in 1880. The many special interest groups focus on: Botany, Fauna Survey, Fungi, Geology, Marine Research, Microscopy and Terrestrial Invertebrates, plus a group especially for Juniors. Refreshments will be provided.
