Collage & Cool Tunes - Workshop with Kelly Sullivan

Event Description

Be inspired to take part in the 'Art of the Lyric' challenge as part of our 'Immersed in Music' month (brought to you by Knox City Council) at this vibrant workshop by internationally renowned collage artist, Kelly Sullivan. (Complete with vintage vinyl spinning in the background and snacks and refreshments to get the ideas flowing.)

Collage is a process of painting with scissors, glue, and found materials, much used in the music posters and flyers of the 1970s and 1980s.

By the workshop's end, you'll be creating your own vibrant, dynamic collage art and mastering the Yin and Yang of collage composition.

Art of The Lyric challenge details:
Make a piece of 2D art inspired by a song lyric to be exhibited at Miller's during our 'Immersed in Music' month - 28th June to 28th July '24.
Categories:
Adults - 20 yrs + - Register and create a 2D piece of artwork on A4 paper. Hand in to Miller's during opening hours from 9.30am, 29 April till 4pm, 27 May and we will frame your artwork for you.
Teens - 13-19yrs &
Children 5-12yrs - Register and pick up your ready-to-hang mini canvas (while stocks last) at Miller's Homestead from Tues, 2nd April. Hand in to Miller's during opening hours from 9.30 am, 29 April till 4 pm, 27 May.
