Mindful Slow Stitch with textile artist Karen Ridley

Event Description

Come to the Lilydale Library and experience the practice of Mindful Slow Stitch where the use of fabric, basic embroidery stitches, thread, and colour are used as a tool for relaxation and to centre the mind.
The workshop will explore the use of stitches without any predetermined design, releasing the need to control, and allowing the colour and stitch to dictate the end result.
This is a simple and easy way to relax and with the inclusion of a slow stitch kit with fabric, thread, and needle you will be able to take your stitched item home and continue using this mindful and relaxing tool.
No stitching experience is needed.
